HPMC improves adhesion, workability and open time of the mix, and retains water so the cement cures properly without cracking. The HK and LH grades differ in viscosity and dissolution; we help you choose the grade for your product.
Also known as HPMC, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, MHPC or cellulose ether for mortar. For water-based paint thickeners see Natrosol HEC.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is Combizell HPMC packed and is it in stock?
25 kg bags, ex stock at our Jakarta and Surabaya warehouses. Contact info@chemifin.com or WhatsApp 0811 154 343 for a price.
Which Combizell grade suits my product?
In general the HK series is used for mortar, plaster and tile adhesive, while LH 40MR suits lower-viscosity applications such as skim coat and self-levelling. Tell us your product and we will help you choose.
What is the difference between HPMC and HEC?
HPMC (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) is used in cement- and gypsum-based products because it improves adhesion, workability and setting time. HEC (hydroxyethyl cellulose) is mainly a thickener for water-based paints — see our Natrosol HEC page.
Are samples and documents available?
Yes, samples for production trials are available, and a CoA and SDS accompany every shipment.
