Can Chemifin sodium benzoate replace Purox?
Yes. The sodium benzoate we supply performs the same function as Purox and is commonly used as its replacement in equivalent formulations.
At what pH is sodium benzoate most effective?
Sodium benzoate works best under acidic conditions, generally below pH 4.5. Its effectiveness falls at higher pH, so it is often combined with potassium sorbate.
