LokRelease 237 — Mold Release for Rubber Molding

LokRelease 237 is a water-based, semi-permanent mold release from Parker LORD for rubber molding. One application lasts for multiple molding cycles, it contains no VOCs and does not transfer to the part. Available ex stock from Chemifin.

A mold release forms a non-stick layer on the mold surface so that rubber parts come out cleanly without tearing or sticking in the cavity. Unlike conventional release agents that have to be sprayed every cycle, LokRelease 237 is semi-permanent: once applied, the coating lasts for several molding cycles before it needs to be reapplied.

LokRelease 237 suits all rubber types and a wide range of mold designs. Being water-based it contains no VOCs and helps reduce mold fouling. LokRelease is also a natural companion to Chemlok: both are used on the same production lines.

General-purpose water-based mold release, in the same class as 237, for all rubber types. Indent.

LokRelease 2154 / 2324 (water based)

For solid and pneumatic tyres; no white patches or rust-coloured marks on the part. Indent.

LokRelease 2054 (water based)

Mold release for conveyor belt production. Indent.

LokRelease 100 / 100EZ / 1515 (solvent based)

General-purpose solvent-based grades; 100EZ and 1515EZ come in aerosol cans. 1515 for specialty rubber and FRP. Indent.

LokRelease 1514 mandrel release

For hose manufacturing on rigid and flexible mandrels. Indent.

LokRelease 8014 / 8044 stripping solution

Stripping solution for removing built-up dried Chemlok from jigs and fixtures without damaging them; non-chlorinated solvent, low odour. Indent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is LokRelease 237 available from stock in Indonesia?

Yes. LokRelease 237 is available ex stock from Chemifin's warehouse. Other LokRelease grades can be ordered on indent — contact us for lead times.

What is the difference between a semi-permanent mold release and a conventional release agent?

A sacrificial release agent has to be applied every cycle and is carried away with the part. Semi-permanent LokRelease 237 forms a coating that bonds to the mold, lasts several cycles and does not transfer to the rubber part.

Which rubber types can it be used with?

LokRelease 237 is designed for all rubber types (NR, SBR, EPDM, NBR, silicone and others). For special conditions our technical team can assist with trials.

How do I clean built-up Chemlok off jigs?

Use LokRelease 8014 or 8044 stripping solution. Applied to a clean jig before production, it lets dried Chemlok build-up be peeled off easily without scraping or burning. Available on indent.
